Made for the moment you need it

Menus, street signs, ingredient lists, bills, a note from the landlord, the back of a medicine box. If it is written down, point at it and read the answer. Nothing to install: Glance runs in Safari or Chrome on iPhone and Android.

How it works

  1. Open the camera

Tap once. Add Glance to your home screen and the icon opens straight into the camera.

  2. Frame the text

Put the menu, sign, or label inside the corners and take the photo.

  3. Read it

The translation appears over the photo. Tap a line to hear it, save the photo, copy the text, or take the next one.

Only the text inside the frame gets translated, so you can skip the parts you do not need. Pinch to zoom when the print is small.

What Glance can read

Thai, Chinese, Japanese, and English, translated into English or Thai. Prices and Thai numerals come out as figures, dates land in your calendar, and street and temple names stay the way you would say them to a taxi driver: Soi Sukhumvit 24, Wat Pho. Handwriting and unusual fonts work too, as long as you can see them clearly in the photo.
